Indian School champions hailed
THE Indian School athletics team won two gold medals at a championship held in Jamshedpur, in Jharkhand, India.
They also took a bronze medal at the 11th Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) All-India National Athletic Championship held earlier this month.
The schools executive committee, principal, staff and students congratulated the team for their outstanding performance.

In a bid to inculcate the skills and value of craftsmanship among school children, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to start an optional course in Indian crafts for secondary and senior secondary students from the next academic session.
The course on Indian Craft or Heritage Craft would focus on the revival of Indian handicrafts and traditional skills followed by artisans in old days.

DOHA: Private publishers of school text books and guides in India and their distributors here seem to be cashing in on the frequent revision of text books by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) based in New Delhi.
The revision, which is now almost an annual affair, has also led to an inordinate delay in the issuance of new text books, causing immense problems for students and teachers, say Indian school sources.
