A Global Forum for Education Excellence is being held for the Principals of schools in Asia Pacific on 20th and 21st October, 2007 in Singapore. The Theme of the Conference is Measuring up Globally – Reinventing School Education for Excellence.

The two-day conference –Innovation in Educational Excellence or INEX 2007 being hosted by the Global Indian Foundation will be attended by Principals of many leading schools in Singapore, Middle East, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand and India.

Many of the Principals are from schools affiliated with Central Board of Secondary Education. The conference is an initiative to provide a global platform for useful exchange of ideas and best practices among educators. The increasing number of CBSE schools established in different parts of the world in recent years signifies the growing awareness at the international level about the intrinsic strengths of the Indian School education system.

The Supreme Court today posted a petition, challenging the Delhi Government’s decision to fix four years as the minimum age for admission to nursery, for hearing on December 14. The Forum for Promotion of Quality Education for All — an association of about 460 private schools — made a mention of the matter before the Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan.
