The Fraternity of Principals of the Oman Chapter of CBSE affiliated-schools bid adieu to Ainsley L. Edgar, ISM principal, in a befitting manner on Thursday at the Indian School Muscat.
The principals of Indian Schools in Oman have been meeting once in a month and holding discussion on topics of academic importance and issues that crop up due to changes in the syllabus, examination system etc.
Convener of the Oman Chapter T. Premkumar, principal of Indian School Al Seeb, chaired the meeting.
Premkumar also welcomed Papri Ghosh, principal of Indian School Al Ghubra into the forum. After deliberating on key issues, Premkumar enumerated Edgar’s contribution to the Oman Chapter.
“Edgar was a pillar of support to the Oman Chapter and his contribution as convener of the chapter and as the principal of the Oman’s largest CBSE School, the ISM, has been acknowledged,” Premkumar said. He appreciated the humane nature of Edgar and lauded the achievements under his leadership. Papri Ghosh presented Edgar with a bouquet while the senior-most principal in Oman, Leo Lobo, principal of Indian School Wadi Kabir, presented a memento to Edgar on behalf of all the principals. Edgar expressed his gratitude to the fraternity for the love and support extended to him and praised the Oman Chapter Principals Forum for the excellent work that is being carried out with mutual respect.

Indian School champions hailed
THE Indian School athletics team won two gold medals at a championship held in Jamshedpur, in Jharkhand, India.
They also took a bronze medal at the 11th Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) All-India National Athletic Championship held earlier this month.

Hansraj Public School principal awarded

Parents, students protest non-affiliation of Ryan International
Students of Class X of Ryan International School, Sector 49, Chandigarh, along with their parents, today staged a protest against the failure of the school in getting affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Principal threatens victim's brother
A class VIII student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Vigyan Vihar, in east Delhi was allegedly beaten up by the school principal on Saturday. The victim, Ravi Sharma, was taken to GTB hospital, where doctors treated him for the fracture and a police case was lodged. Arora was arrested on Sunday.
